It is my pleasure to invite all parents/guardians to consider becoming a member of the Assumption Catholic Secondary School Council. Please note that our School Council will be comprised of parents/guardians, school staff, a student representative as well as community and parish representatives. Its aim is to support school activities and students through involvement and committee participation. The Catholic School Council also provides a forum for parents to meet and share information and ideas concerning the school community. The School Council supports activities, initiatives and developments at Assumption and within the education environment in general.
Please note the following:
According to Ontario Regulation 612/00, anyone who is a parent or guardian of a child enrolled in the school can be elected as a parent rep. for its School Council.
Please also note that regular attendance at School Council meeting is part of the responsibility of all School Council members. Due to the current situation with COVID 19 all meetings will be held virtually through Microsoft Teams.

by 4:00 p.m. on Monday, September 27th, 2021
Virtual Elections, if required, (in the event of a large number of nominations) for our 2021-2022 School Council will take place:
Wednesday, September 29th, 2021
6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
The first virtual School Council meeting is proposed for Tuesday October 5th, 2021 at 6:30 p.m. Should you choose not to be on School Council we encourage all parents and guardians to join us at our meetings.
