Are you looking for a fun, engaging, and meaningful summer employment opportunity? The Halton Regional Police Service is now accepting applications for the 2022 Summer Youth in Policing Initiative Program!
Y.I.P.I. is an eight-week summer employment opportunity for youth between the ages of 15 to 17 and must be attending a secondary school program and residing in Halton Region. The program will run from July 4 to August 26, 2022 and will provide the students with approximately 35 working hours per week. Y.I.P.I. is a paid employment program with the Halton Regional Police Service for youth. Throughout the eight weeks, youth will interact with, and learn about, the many aspects of policing, have the opportunity to serve their community, and learn about leadership and teamwork. The goal of Y.I.P.I. is to give eight young people an opportunity to develop job skills while enhancing police and community relations. Ultimately, the successful student will learn valuable life and employment skills that will aide them for many years to come.
