HCDSB Student Senate is composed of 8 representatives from each secondary school and was designed to establish a student vision for the Halton Catholic District School Board. Its members, student senators, provide a link between the Student Trustees and the remainder of the secondary school population in the board. The primary role of the student senate is to bring a more diverse student voice to the school board.
Student senators act as an advisory body to the Student trustees to provide a wider perspective on issues that face the students in our Catholic schools and develop and organize initiatives that will illustrate their leadership abilities. Examples of past initiatives include the “See the Problem, Be the Solution” and student-lead leadership conferences on a variety of current interests.
