Bishop Reding Catholic Secondary School students were invited to participate in a live orientation session on the Advanced Placement (AP) Capstone Pilot Program on October 27, 2021 at St. Michael’s College in Toronto.
In partnership with the University of Toronto, the AP Capstone Program encourages faith formation and offers secondary students the opportunity to develop their critical thinking, interdisciplinary and investigative skills in a university setting.
AP Capstone is offered through a 2 year program, recognized by colleges and universities across the globe.
Secondary students taking the program are able to gain access to the University of Toronto to complete research projects and receive feedback and mentorship from a community of researchers. Students will also be able to present their research-based projects at undergraduate research fairs and at St. Michael’s Colloquium in Toronto, with the possibility of having their work published in periodicals.
Bishop Reding Catholic Secondary School will be offering the AP Capstone Program to Grade 10 students during the 2022-2023 school year.
