Grade 12 Student Receives Catholic Student Award!

Bishop P.F. Reding Catholic Secondary School is thrilled to announce that Grade 12 student Ava Wynhofen has been selected as the recipient of the highly esteemed Catholic Education Foundation of Ontario (CEFO) Catholic Student Award! This school-nominated award is given to a candidate who enhances the spirit of the school community and demonstrates Catholic values.  

Ava is recognized for her service to both her school and community. As an honour roll student, Ava maintains a high academic average while balancing numerous extra-curricular and volunteer activities. She has been part of the Bishop Reding band, eco club and volleyball team. She has made notable contributions to the life of our school community through her involvement in Student Council and STEM. 

Aside from her involvement at school, Ava is a member of Teen Speaks Up Canada and Halton Youth Speaks Up. She is also the founder of the youth organization Female Youth Initiative. Through her volunteer work in Milton and notably as a Leader in Black, she has further demonstrated a commitment to community building and peer support, all from a position of servant leadership.
