St. Paul the Apostle Parish Update February 2020

The parish is happy to be celebrating the sacrament of Confirmation with our Grade 7 students this month. On February 8th students from St. Elizabeth Seton, St. Timothy and St. Anne will receive the sacrament, followed on February 22nd by students from Canadian Martyrs, St. Christopher and Sacred Heart of Jesus. We will be welcoming the Chancellor of the Diocese of Hamilton, Monsignor Murray Kroetsch as he will be celebrant for these services. Please pray for the students, their sponsors and parents during this important time.

February also marks the beginning of Lent which starts on Ash Wednesday, February 26th. Students will have an opportunity to receive ashes at school that day and the parish will offer 3 Masses for the community to come and receive ashes. Masses that day will take place at 9:00 am, 12:00 pm and 8:00 pm.

During Lent we will also offer Stations of the Cross each Friday at 7:00 pm starting on February 28th. Please join us for this special devotion service as part of your Lenten preparation and reflection.  The entire Lent and Easter schedule will be inserted in the bulletin and posted on the website soon.

The Social Committee is hosting another Euchre Night on Saturday February 29th at 6:00 pm. Details will be posted in the bulletin.

Coffee Sunday will take place next on Sunday March 1st following both the 9:00 am and 11:00 am Masses.  The school community of Canadian Martyrs, along with the parish Knights of Columbus will be hosting this event. Come to the parish hall immediately following Mass on this date for refreshments and fellowship. All are welcome!
