Christ the King is excited to celebrate Black History Month!
Our Black History Month team, comprised of Christ the King students and staff, have prepared a series of infomercials, announcements, podcasts, videos and classroom activities highlighting the efforts, accomplishments and contributions of Black Canadians and Saints that will be shared with our school community throughout the month of February.
CtK will be hosting Orlando Bowen, for a virtual school-wide assembly on February 19! Orlando is an inspirational speaker and trainer who works with corporations, small businesses and non-profits. He is passionate about youth leadership. As a result of that passion, he founded One Voice One Team Youth Leadership Organization to inspire and to teach resilience, leadership and teamwork to youth. His message empowers youth to use their talents to make a difference.
Our Food and Nutrition classes will once again have an opportunity to experience virtual Caribbean Cooking Sessions with Caribbean Chefs to learn more and experiment with food and cooking styles unique to the Caribbean culture.
