Send a Message of Hope to Our Neighbours at
West Oak Village Long Term Care Home
In partnership with St. Matthew Parish Seniors Ministry Coordinator Mrs. Patty Morzi, our Loyola students have always supported our neighbours at West Oak Village Long Term Care Home with companionship and cheer through song at sing-along nights. Unfortunately, due to the coronavirus, the residents have been cut off from visits from loved ones and all social activities. Despite social distancing, we can still reach out and show that we care by sending video messages of hope!
CALLING ALL LOYOLA HAWKS!
Interested students are invited to send Mrs. Harkin five, 2-minute videos of themselves sending well wishes to our friends at the West Oak Village Residents. Each 2-minute video should be different. Keep in mind that we want to lift their spirits so they would enjoy hearing you sing a song, read a poem, or tell a short story. The West Oaks staff will play the videos for the seniors.
Students will receive 10 hours of community service hours from St. Matthew Parish for submitting the five, 2-minute videos to Mrs. Harkin.
If interested, email Mrs. Harkin for complete details firstname.lastname@example.org
