We are so excited to welcome you to the Loyola Hawk family! We truly believe that Loyola is an amazing place that supports students academically, socially, emotionally and spiritually. We are a family and we can’t wait to get to know you and your gifts and talents.
To support your transition to high school, we have arranged a grade 9 orientation day on Tuesday August 31, 2021 from 10:00 – 12:00 and grade 10 orientation from 12:30 to 2:30.
To prepare for the day we ask that you:
- Bring a hat, sunscreen and a water bottle as we will be spending the morning outside.
- Complete the COVID-19 screening on the morning of August 31 and take a screen-shot of the green check-mark.
- If you do not receive a green check-mark when you complete the screening, you are not allowed to come to the school.
- Bring a mask with you and ensure you are masked while on school property
- Maintain two meters of physical distance at all times. This will be strictly enforced.
At the orientation you will:
- Meet your mentor
- Meet key support people at Loyola
- Learn how to access your schedule
- Learn how to download the My School Day App
- Take a tour of Loyola
- Get a school lock and find your locker
- Have lots of fun and meet other members of the Loyola school community
