“THE EARLIER YOU LEARN THAT YOU SHOULD FOCUS ON WHAT YOU HAVE AND NOT OBSESS ABOUT WHAT YOU DON’T HAVE, THE HAPPIER YOU WILL BE.”

In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Good morning God!

Thank you for allowing me to awake to yet another beautiful day.

I am grateful for the beauty of the sun and Your other creations.

Despite sometimes forgetting to say thanks, I am overjoyed by the wonders around me.

Despite the challenges and struggles of yesterday, help me to focus on You, Your care over my life and the blessings You continue to bestow upon me. Rather than complaining over what I don’t have, help me to focus on all the wonderful things you’ve blessed me with.

We ask for this through Christ our Lord.

Amen.

Our Lady – Pray for us!

In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

“The broken hearted are the bravest among us because they had the courage to love.”

In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Dear God,

Sometimes it’s hard to love people.

Maybe they have done or said horrible things to us.

Maybe they’ve not been there when we really need them.

When we are broken, it’s hard to heal and love again.

Let all of us have the courage to take the time to heal…

and then to be so brave as to love again.

If I need to let go – help me to let go.

If I need to forgive, send me on the path to forgiveness.

If I need to hope, send me Your Light.

If I need to tear down a wall and learn to trust and love again, give me the strength to do so.

We ask for this through Christ our Lord.

Amen.

Our Lady – Pray for us!

In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

“I’m no longer accepting the things I cannot change…I’m changing the things I cannot accept.”

In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Good morning God!

Lord, grant me courage as I go through this day.

If there are things I am trying to change in my life,

help me with those things.

When I am tempted to give up, help me to keep going.

Grant me a cheerful spirit when things don’t go my way,

and give me courage to do whatever needs to be done.

We ask for this through Christ our Lord.

Amen.

Our Lady – Pray for us!

In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

“Young people willing to push super hard to make something happen are among the most powerful forces in the world.”

In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Good morning God!

We pray for the teenagers of the world.

We pray for the ones who are taking care of their younger brothers and sisters at home.

We pray for the ones who work practically full-time hours to help support their family members.

We pray for the ones who protest at rallies to save the environment.

We pray for teenagers that fight for human rights.

We pray for teenagers who want nothing more than to be understood and heard.

We pray for all the teenagers at Notre Dame.

May they know they are loved by You God.

Let them know that there are many people in their life that love them.

Let all teenagers know they are not alone.

We ask for this through Christ our Lord.

Amen.

Our Lady – Pray for us!

In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Our thought for today, Friday May 14,  2021 is

“You can’t stop the waves, but you can learn how to surf.”

In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

As we enter another weekend, we come to You in prayer this morning.

We are still being hit by the waves of this pandemic and all the restrictions that are still in place.

Other than staying home and trying not to see people outside of our homes, we are still feeling tired and exhausted by our current situations.

Help us God to change our thinking.

Instead of swimming against and fighting the waves of Covid, let us learn how to surf with it!

Help us to get out and enjoy the spring that is growing and blossoming around us.

Help us to get creative without families and enjoy their company.

Help us to stay safe and healthy through these challenging times.

We ask or this through Christ our Lord.

Amen.

Our Lady – Pray for us!

In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
