Red Dress Day

May 5th is the National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls, also known as #RedDressDay. It is a day to educate and raise awareness about the disproportionate rates of violence experienced by Indigenous women and girls.

WE INVITE YOU to join us virtually on May 5th to honour the lives lost, to show solidarity, to raise awareness, and to demand justice for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls. Our virtual event will feature Indigenous Knowledge Keeper, Val King, from the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation. Val will share her personal story, discuss the Final Report from the National Inquiry into Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls, and provide you with information on ways you can TAKE ACTION and BE PART OF THE SOLUTION. #MMIWG #WeRemember.
