*Thank you to Loyola student, Lauren Robinson, for creating the logo for Black History Month at Loyola.*
Our staff and student Black History Month planning committee has been working on compiling resources and activities. The goals the committee outlined in their resource selection include:
To engage staff and students virtually |
To increase awareness about the achievements of Black Canadians as well as their contributions to Canada and the world |
To increase awareness of the struggles and injustices the Black community has faced and continues to face today |
To empower, honour and celebrate Loyola’s Black community |
To ensure that Black history is not only taught during the month of February |

Mr. Scordino, our school librarian, has prepared this interactive resource for students to access. It highlights all of the amazing resources available in our library virtually.
We look forward to honouring, learning, unlearning and celebrating Black History at Loyola in February and Beyond.
