Help A Family In Need!
This is another call out to our staff and students about a special request from Six Nations of the Grand River Reserve, Child and Family Services, to help one of their families in desperate need this Christmas.
The family has three children of their own and have just recently been given custody of 3 more children from their extended family, so they are now caring for 6 children ages 7 – 16. They are working hard to provide a stable and loving home for all of the children, but they are really struggling.
We want to provide a special Christmas delivery to the family, and we really need your help!
They are in desperate need of sheets sets (all sizes), towels and pillows, toiletries etc. and of course we would like to provide some Christmas presents for the children.
If you are not able to shop but would still like to help, you can either by a gift card to Walmart or make a cash donation and I will do the shopping for you! Please drop your donations off to Mrs. Scott in the main office by Wednesday morning, Dec. 20th so they can be wrapped and delivered in time for Christmas. If you need more information or would like to help, please see me in the office. We recognize there have been a lot of requests for donations,. However, if you are able to contribute, even a small amount for this family, we would very much appreciate your support. Thank you kindly to those of you who have already donated!
