Loyola Alpine Ski and Snowboard Team (LASS)
The Alpine Team will be competing at the HCAA Cup race at Mansfield Ski Club on Thu Jan 19. Skiers and Boarders are to attend a meeting today after school to discuss details of the race this week.
Please meet with the coaches in Room 219 today at 2:30pm.
Math Help – Destreamed Gr. 9
Attention students taking grade 9 de-streamed math this semester. There will be math help geared towards your exam preparation and review this Thursday after school. as well as next Tuesday January 24th. It is in room 211 from 2:30 to 3:30. no need to sign up in advance. Bring your math binder with you.
Sr. Boys Soccer
There will be a sr. boy’s soccer practice this Friday morning at 7:00am in the gym.
Curling Team
There will be a mandatory meeting for all members of the curling team, this Friday morning at 8:00am in the gym.
Waterloo Programming Contest
This February, Loyola will be competing in the annual Waterloo Programming Contest! Students who have taken a computer coding class or are self-taught coders are highly encouraged to participate!
There will be an information meeting TODAY, January 17th after school in Rm 285. We hope to see you there!

Mentor Program
Attention all grade 10 students, are you interested in becoming a grade 11 mentor next year? Are you interested in developing our leadership skills, make new friends, support, and provide guidance for new grade 9 students? Then please stop by room 135 to pick up a mentor application from Mrs. Cheal. All types of leaders are welcome. Applications are due end of day on Friday, January 20th. Waterloo Programming Contest
For some great fun with math, come write the Waterloo Programming Contest on Wednesday February 22nd during period 1. This current contest if for grades 9, 10 & 11 but don’t worry grade 12s, your turn will come in a few weeks. To register, pay the $6 fee on school cash online. Paying this is all you need to do to register. Registration is open until February 2nd. Past contests are available online if you are interested. See Mrs. Smith if you need additional information.
