Student Senate Energy Conservation Initiative

Today is Turn-down Tuesday here at loyola. As a part of the Senate’s energy conservation initiative we are going to turn down the temperature and lights today, as a way to limit our consumption of energy. The average Canadian consumes 10kWh or uses 10 hours of electricity a day, so even just making small changes to our energy consuption like turning off the lights more can make a big difference. Doing this helps bring us closer to winning the energy conservation competition against all of the other schools; let’s go Hawks! Tomorrow we will be having Windowless Wednesday where we will be closing the windows in school to help lower our energy usage even more. Be sure to listen in tomorrow for more announcements by your Student Senate.
