Civvies Day – Wednesday, December 14th

There will be a paid civvies day this Wednesday December 14th in support of the World Wildlife Fund Canada. It will be a regular civvies day with no particular theme. Please pay through school cash online if you have not done so yet for this year.

Student Council – Christmas Assembly

Loyola student council is hosting the annual LIVE Christmas assembly on Thursday December 22nd, the last day of school before the holidays. We are looking for students and staff to perform in the concert. Singing, dancing, bands and musical instruments are all welcome. Please email Mrs. Stewart if you are interested in performing and then send a clip of your performance by Friday to Tabitha Stephenson and Mrs. Stewart.

Loyola Christmas Concert – December 15th

All are welcome to the Loyola Christmas concert on Thursday, Dec. 15 at 7pm featuring the Loyola Concert Band and the Loyola Glee Club. Admission is free!

Candygrams For Sale

Student council will be selling candycane o’gram’s all this week during both lunches in the atrium. For $0.50 you can send a candy cane to a friend. You must know what their homeroom class number is. they will be delivered during first period class next week!

Table Tennis Tournament

Hey Hawks! The sports leadership classes are hosting table tennis tournaments over 3a lunch on December 19th and 3b lunch on December 20th. Be sure to sign up using one of the QR codes posted around the school. Hope to see you there!

University of Waterloo Math Contest

There will be a math contest prep club practice today in room 211 for the next University of Waterloo math contest in February.

Auto Club

Auto Club starts today in room 16 from 2:30 – 4:00. Auto club is open to all students and runs until June. Applications are due by 2:30 today!

Student Senate

The HCDSB student senate environmental stewardship committee is hosting a thrift shop where students and community members can purchase donated items to reduce holiday waste! This event is taking place in the atrium at Loyola on December 16th and 19th from 5pm – 7pm. Please bring gently used clothing, toys, books and games and drop them in the blue bin in the atrium. Every item will be bought through tickets. Tickets are $2 and can be bought through school cash online and cash on the night of the thrift store. Donations will be accepted until this Friday!

Student Services

Just a reminder, self nomination rationales for the Western National Scholarship Program are due on the Student Service’s D2L by 8:30am on Monday December 19th
