Pasta & Diaper Drive

We are running a Pasta & Diapers drive for families in need at Six Nations of the Grand River Reserve, Child and Family Services. While you are out shopping, please consider picking up some pasta and sauce and for our staff who have little ones, next time you are buying diapers and wipes perhaps pick up an extra pack to donate to this important drive. Your contribution can make a world of difference to a family in need.

There is a bin outside the main office for you to place your donation into. If you would like to make a monetary contribution and have us do the shopping for you, please drop your donation off to Mrs. Scott in the Main Office. Thank you kindly!

Track and Field Results

Last week members of the Track & Field team faced stern competition amid soaring temperatures at South Regionals, at Chinguacousy Park, Brampton.

On the field, special mentions go to our shot putters. Amy Scott competed in the Senior Girls division and threw an impressive 9.19m, setting a personal best. Although just falling short of qualifying for OFSAA, Amy’s dedication and drive has led her to continuously improve each year.

As a first-time competitor this season, Conor Culina made it to South Regionals to compete in the Senior boys division and recorded an impressive personal best throw of 11.79m.

The coaches are proud of our throwers hard work this season.

On the track, our sprinters continued to shine. Grade 9 rookie, Tyler Lareti had an impressive first season with the team winning multiple medals, and making it to South Regionals to compete in the 100m sprint with a personal best time of 11.9 seconds! He shows great promise for the coming years! Well done Tyler!

On Thursday, Debbie Suluman and Alyssa Stephenson put in respectable performances in the 100m finishing 6th and 8th respectively amongst strong competition. They came back stronger on Friday and set fire to the track along with teammates NataLIA Murillo and Andrea Viloria. In the 4 x 100m relay, the girls surpassed their previous GHAC record (set just last week), with a new best of 49.97 sec becoming the South Regional champions, thus securing a place at OFSAA this week! Please wish them luck as they travel to Ottawa Thursday aiming to become Ontario champions!
