Pasta & Diaper Drive

We are running a Pasta & Diapers drive for families in need at Six Nations of the Grand River Reserve, Child and Family Services. While you are out shopping, please consider picking up some pasta and sauce and for our staff who have little ones, next time you are buying diapers and wipes perhaps pick up an extra pack to donate to this important drive. Your contribution can make a world of difference to a family in need.

There is a bin outside the main office for you to place your donation into. If you would like to make a monetary contribution and have us do the shopping for you, please drop your donation off to Mrs. Scott in the Main Office. Thank you kindly!

National AccessAbility Week

May 28th to June 3rd is National AccessAbility Week!

This year the theme is “Disability Inclusion: From Possibilities to Practice”.

This annual event celebrates the valuable contributions and leadership of Canadians with disabilities, and highlights the ongoing work being done to create a more accessible and inclusive society. We can all contribute to this vision.

At HCDSB, this week reflects a commitment to create a more accessible and inclusive school board where all students feel they belong and are included in the school community.

During National AccessAbility Week, we are also encouraging staff and students to take a pledge to promote accessibility and inclusion in their school and community, and to make a difference in the lives of people with disabilities by showing their support.

In the Atrium this morning, we had some representatives from the Special Education Sub-Committee of the HCDSB Student Senate and some volunteers from our Life Skills class to distribute Red Shirt Day buttons and share resources to promote awareness of the importance of creating a more accessible and inclusive community at Loyola and in our greater society.

These representatives will be back on Friday morning to continue to share this information. A display board will also be placed in the Learning Commons for more information.

Thursday Weekly After School Activities

Girls Who Lift will be running today in the weight room.

Games Club in your Learning Commons (aka the Library)

And, Math Homework Club will be running in room 211. Everyone is welcome!
