Volunteer Opportunities
The Canadian Cancer Society is offering a virtual volunteer fair the evening of Monday, September 18th at 7:00pm. They will cover a variety of volunteer opportunities for students from event planning to advocacy. go to cancer.ca/volunteer fair for more information. Friendfest
Attention all grade 9s, this is a reminder to bring in both your signed school permission form and Halton/Kelso consent forms and give it to your period 1 teachers Please ensure that your trip fee is paid through school cash online. Due date is this Friday September 15th.
Volunteer Opportunity for Students
The PhysEd department is looking for students to be the “stick-crew for this week’s football game. Volunteer hours will be given. If interested, please see Mr. Pauletto in the Phys-Ed office asap.
Best Buddies
Hey hawks! Looking for volunteer hours? Best buddies is starting up again, come join us in room 133 for a quick meeting after school TODAY (Friday) to learn more about it. Please be ready to make a commitment during your lunch once a week, we’re looking for students available during 3A and 3B lunch! Best Buddies is an excellent way to get volunteer hours and spend some time with great students!

Book Club
The next chapter begins! Every Monday right after school the Book Club meets in the computer lab in your Learning Commons (aka Library). Members will choose their first book on Monday, September 18th. Please book time to join the Book Club!
Student Senate 2023-2024 Applications
Are you in grade 9 and looking to gain leadership skills and confidence? Do you want to stand up for the issues that you and your fellow students are passionate about? Consider joining the Student Senate, a board wide organization made up of student representatives, which looks to advocate for student voice at the board level.
