Non Uniform Day TODAY

Today is a paid non-uniform day in support of the Wabshkaa Animkii Binesi (WAB) an indigenous Youth Program in Thunder Bay. Students are asked to pay a one-time fee of $20 through school cash on line for 10 non-uniform days this school year. These paid non-uniform days are to raise money for charities including the Canadian Cancer Society, Loyola Cares, ROCK (Reach Out Center for Kids), Loyola Angel Care Campaign, Halton Catholic Children’s Foundation, Halton Food for Thought and Lighthouse for Grieving Children and Families.

Students will be given a wristband in your period 1 class that you must wear on the non-uniform day.

Boys Varsity Hockey

A reminder to all varsity boys hockey players that we are on the ice next Tuesday Oct. 17th at 3:00 at Glen Abbey. Please get your permission forms to your coases ASAP.

Student Services

Just a few reminders for upcoming scholarship due dates:

Loran self nominations are due tonight by 8pm and U of T’s National Book Award self nominations are due to Mrs Luis by 8:30am tomorrow!

Also, Period 1 Grade 12 Pathway Presentations are starting today; please check Student Services’ D2L for the Presentation Schedule.

The College Fair at the Enercare Centre will be taking place next week from 5-9pm on Wednesday October 18th and from 9-2pm on Thursday October 19th.

Food Drive for Six Nations of the Grand River

We will be holding a Thanksgiving Food Drive this week and next week in support of Six Nations of the Grand River.  Please bring in any nonperishable food items such as pasta, canned foods, cereal, baby food, etc.  Food items can be placed in the bin in front of the main office.  Please help out those in need.  We greatly appreciate your support. 

Loyola Wellness Community

University of Waterloo Math Contest

This is a reminder to students who wish to write the University of Waterloo Canadian Intermediate or Senior Math contest on November 15th, during periods 1 and 2. To register, all you need to do is pay the fee on School Cash Online. Registration is open until October 17th and is available for all grades. Past contests are available online if you are interested. See Mrs. Smith in room 211 if you need additional information.

School Trip to Washington – April 2024

Attention ALL Grade 11 and 12 students, we have some exciting news! In April 2024 we are running a trip to Washington DC. Highlights will include the Vietnam Memorial, a tour of the Pentagon, Smithsonian museums, a theatre production and a Major League Baseball game. If you are interested, please see Mrs. Cheal in room 135 for more details. You do not want to miss this trip!
