Math Contests

This is the final reminder to students who wish to write the University of Waterloo Math contest on November 15th that they need to register on School Cash Online today,  before midnight.  

There is also a second math contest, not connected to the University of Waterloo that also has its registration close today. To register for this one, scan the QR code located on door of most math classes and enter your details. This contest runs on Thursday of this week during period 4. See any math teacher for more information. 

Girls Varsity Hockey

The team will hold their first tryout this Thursday Oct. 19th from 3:00 – 5:00. Permission forms can be found on the door at room 133. Practice will be held at Glen Abbey Arena – please join the google classroom and complete the survey.

Jr. & Sr. Boys Basketball

For ant Jr. & Sr. Boys interested in playing basketball, there will be a mandatory meeting in the Health Room on Wednesday after school.

Breakfast Table Volunteer Needed

This message is for any students wanting to volunteer for our Breakfast Table. We have an opening for one student on Wednesdays from 7:30-8:20. You must be available every Wednesday morning for the rest of semester 1.  If you are interested, please see Mrs. Scott in the Main Office. 

School Trip to Washington – April 2024

Attention ALL Grade 11 and 12 students, we have some exciting news! In April 2024 we are running a trip to Washington DC. Highlights will include the Vietnam Memorial, a tour of the Pentagon, Smithsonian museums, a theatre production and a Major League Baseball game. If you are interested, please see Mrs. Cheal in room 135 for more details. You do not want to miss this trip!

Wellness Meeting Thurs. Oct. 19

Hey Hawks! We have rescheduled the Wellness Meeting so if you are interested in creating a safe, fun and inclusive community then join us at 2:30 next Thursday, October 19th in the Library.

Student Services

The College Fair at the Enercare Centre will be today from 5-9pm and from 9-2pm tomorrow.

The Ontario University Fair will be held this weekend, Saturday, October 21st and Sunday October 22nd from 10-5pm at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.

And submissions for U of T’s National Scholarship Program are due tomorrow!
