National Day of Action for WG2STGD+

Today is the National Day of Action for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls.

On this day, we honour the lives of missing and murdered Indigenous women, girls, two-spirit, transgender, and gender-diverse+ (WG2STGD+) people by creating change and committing to ending the violence that disproportionately impacts their communities.  First Nations, Inuit and Métis women and girls continue to experience high rates of violence and discrimination.  To honour this day of action we have placed red ribbons on some of the trees around the school as well as a red dress in the atrium and next to it is a poster with a QR code. Take a moment to scan the QR code and learn about the symbolism of the red dress and all of the important work being done.
