Movie Night for Graduates

This is for all grade 12 graduates, we hope you will join us on Wednesday after school to watch How the Grinch Stole Christmas, all together as the class of 2024! Period 1 teachers, can you please survey your class after announcements regarding how may are planning on attending and email Mrs. L. Smith so she has numbers to buy the treats.

In the glow of Christmas lights, so bright,
Grade twelve grads, a festive night.
They gathered ’round, hearts full of glee,
Watching a movie, like the Grinch, they’d see.
On the screen, a tale unfold,
Of stolen cheer, and hearts grown cold.
Yet in the room, a warmth so sweet,
Graduates laughed, their joy replete.
Together they sat, in friendship tight,
Weaving memories on this winter night.
So don’t be a Grinch, and show Christmas cheer
We hope all grade 12s will appear
On Wednesday December 20th, after school Join us for a movie and let festivity rule.

Christmas for a family in need

Well last week on Thursday we asked for a Christmas Miracle in support of our Angel Campaign and we came through as a school community to exceed our goal.

We now have one important Christmas initiative left to support as a staff, together with our Indigenous Advocacy Committee, and that is to provide a special Christmas Delivery to a family from Six Nations. This family of five young children aged 15 months to 11 years have just lost both of their parents. Their aunt has taken them all in and while they are working hard to provide a stable and loving home, as you can imagine, it is a struggle.

So, if you intended to do something but just haven’t had the chance, it isn’t too late. Today is the last day for your donations as we will be delivering to the family on Wednesday morning.

Please stop in to see Mrs. Scott in the Main office if you would like to make a cash or gift card donation  any gift donations can go into the bin just outside the Main Office.

Slips, Trips and Falls Announcements

The risk of slipping, tripping, and falling increases dramatically during winter months. To help yo stay safe this season, here’s a winter safety tip to prevent slips, trips and falls:

Wearing appropriate footwear is a step in the right direction. Remember: In ice and snow, take it slow!
