Waterloo Math Contest

Mrs. Alfano would like to thank all those students who participated in the University of Waterloo computer programming contest on Feb 21st. Students spent 3 hours trying to solve 5 programming problems and should be congratulated for their efforts. A special congratulations goes to Sirachi Suksukanin and Johnathan Lavoie who received a Certificate of Distinction for scoring in the top 25% of all contestants who wrote the Waterloo programming contest across Canada. Way to go Sirachi and Johnathan!

Valedictorian Applications

This announcement is for any graduate who is interested in representing the class of 2024 as Valedictorian. Applications are due Sunday March 31st. See the Student Services D2L announcements for more information on how to apply or contact Mrs. Smith.

Multicultural Club

Loyola’s Multicultural Club has our next meeting on Wednesday, March 27 after school in Room 195. We will come together to celebrate the diversity of the Loyola school community. All are welcome to join! Please see Ms. Mascarenhas or Ms. Ventresca if you have any questions.

MLL LiveDifferent Leaders

Prom Pop-up

This message is for all graduating students, our Class of 2024! It’s finally here… Loyola‘s prom pop-up grand opening is happening TODAY during your lunch. Come on down to your Learning Commons aka the Library to check out all of the beautiful items we have that are available to you for free! Yes graduates, all of the items have been donated and are FREE for you to have and to keep! Just this weekend we received another very generous donation from the“Candy Prom” dress store in Toronto of 10 brand new dresses which still have the price tags on them! Whether you are just thrifty and want to save some money, you want to be environmentally friendly and recycle, or if you just need a little helping hand, this is the place for you! We have over 35 beautiful full length dresses, we’ve got some heels as well as some stylish Suits, tons of ties and more! We’ve got pop-up change rooms so you can try things on and if you want to book a time outside of your lunch hour, simply “pop” into the main office and see Mrs. Scott to book a time that works for you. Still need some volunteer hours or just want to help out in your final year? We are looking for grade 12 volunteers to help out in the Prom Pop up weekdays during your lunch. If you are available to help please see Mrs. Scott in the Main Office.
