Hey Hawks! Student council is excited to announce our Spring Coffeehouse. We’re looking for performers of any talent including singing, instruments, bands, dancing and much more! Please send auditions to Mrs.Stewart or Lourdes De Alejandro by April 29th to be considered! Also, please fill out the Google Form available on Student Council’s Instagram @loyolalsc. Prom Pop-up Message for Graduates
This message is for our graduating students, our Class of 2024! This week is your last chance to find your prom dress, prom suit or perhaps you just need an awesome tie to go with your suit, we have tons of ties, lots of suits and many beautiful dresses still available! We also have a lovely selection of short dresses which you might want to wear under your grad gown for your graduation ceremony. If you want to come and check them out, you can try them on in our pop-up change rooms or take them home to try them on. They are beautiful and free for you to take! Our Pop-up is closing this Friday so come and check us out today, tomorrow and Friday during your lunch and if you would like to take a look or try something on before or after school, or during your spare, just pop in to see Mrs. Scott in the Main Office and she will help to make that happen for you.
Shoutout to our Robotics Team
Last week our Loyola Robotics team attended the FIRST Robotics World Championships in Houston TX. We were amongst the best robots in the world and once again our team exceeded expectations. We ranked in the top 20 after qualification matches and were selected for the 4th alliance on the Newton field. In addition to the competition our team members attended conferences, met people from around the world, and danced the night away at Robo Prom. It was a week like no other and we will always remember it. We want to congratulate all our team members for their work this season, but we also want to recognize our Gr 12 students that are now FIRST Alumni. As you move on to other endeavors we hope that the lessons learned from this little robot serve you well. Thank you to the mentors that dedicated so much of their time to the students and our team. Be sure to check out our 2024 award winning robot, named MockingJay, at one of our outreach events this spring!
