Pray the Rosary

May is one of the months of the year that the Catholic Church dedicates to Mary the Mother of Jesus and Monday May 13th is the feast of our Lady of Fatima which commemorates the appearance of Our Lady to three little children. In honour of Our Lady, please join us in the Chapel at the beginning of 3A lunch to pray the Rosary in solidarity with millions of Catholics throughout the world, for your own needs, for your loved ones or for peace.

Tropical Spirit Day

Hey Hawks, we’re kicking spirit week off today with Tropical Day! A reminder that tomorrow is Sport Day. Whether it be sporty attire or team swag, we’re excited to see your enthusiasm and creativity! Themes can be found on the screen or on Student Council’s Instagram page @loyolalsc. Please adhere to the theme each day

Just a friendly reminder that if you are planning on taking Co-op in Summer School this year, you must register by Friday May 17th! Note that there is a MANDATORY in-person preplacement class at Thomas Merton Centre Oakville on Thursday May 30th!

Chromebook Return

A length is the distance between two points, in any direction. The width of a Chromebook is approximately 12 inches or 300 millimeters. If you have a Chromebook signed out, please return it by the first week of June. This announcement for returning Chromebooks will be repeated for good measure. Math EQAO in mid-June will require the use of Chromebooks.

St. Lawrence College Programming Contest

Congratulations to the five Loyola programming teams who competed at the St. Lawrence College Programming Contest on Friday. The teams had three hours to code six programming questions using one computer. Mrs. Alfano would like to congratulate all the teams for taking on this difficult challenge. A special shoutout to Loyola Team 2 for placing 6th out of 26 teams competing. The team consisted of Robert Homa, Johnathan Lavoie, Ethan Ramdeen and Rocco DeStefano.
