Spring Coffee House Auditions
An announcement from student council and AV club if you are performing in the coffee house, congratulations! Please meet in room 298 after school May 2nd for a very quick meeting to discuss setlist and times for sound check so you will be fully prepared for the performance May 8th! We are still accepting new auditions up until May 2nd, when you submit be sure to also fill out the Google Form by scanning the QR code. It will be very quick but it is mandatory so please do your best to be there.

Hospitality Restaurant
Hello teachers. Spring is in the air! So celebrate by enjoying a 3 course lunch prepared by our hospitality students. Please check your email for your invitation. First come first serve. Will you select the Avacada shrimp salad, the Brie, turkey and cranberry panini or the the pesto sundried tomato pasta…..whichever one it is all made from scratch. Spots are limited and you can even pick who ya sit with.
St. Lawrence College Computer Programming Contest
Attention all coders! St. Lawrence College in Kingston is hosting a remote team computer programming contest. Each team can have up to 4 students. It will be on Friday May 10th in Rm 285 periods 1 – 3. Each team will be given a copy of 6 programming questions and you have 3 hours to solve as many as you can using ONE computer. If you are interested or have questions, email Mrs. Alfano at alfanoa@hcdsb.org. Don’t miss out on this great team coding experience!

Dodgeball Tournament
From Mr. Pauletto’s Grade 12 Leadership class: Attention all grade 9s! From May 6th to the 10th you will be given the opportunity to compete in an intramural DODGEBALL tournament in the gym during your lunch. Here’s your chance to compete against friends, foes, and even TEACHERS ALIKE! Sign up will be in the atrium today during your lunch. Don’t delay! Form your team and get ready to DODGE, DUCK, DIP, DIVE AND……DODGE!!
Caribou Math Contest
The last Caribou Math Contest is tomorrow. If you wish to write during period 3A, please email Mrs. Smith or stop by her classroom so you can be signed out of class. Otherwise, you can choose to write after school. The contest will be in the library computer lab as usual.
