Just a reminder that applications for the Ontario Justice Education Network Bursary are due Monday May 27th and the mandatory in-person pre placement class for Summer School Co-op is Thursday May 30th at Thomas Merton Centre.
Chromebook Return Reminder
To paraphrase Sherlock Holmes on the May 22nd birthday of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle: The little things are absolutely the most important. Speaking of little things being important, Chromebooks must be returned by Monday, June 3. Math EQAO will need Chromebooks in mid-June.
Message for Graduates
Attention graduates. This is a reminder that your table forms for your prom seating are today by the end of the day. Please return completed forms to room 211. Blank forms can be picked up in room 211 with Mrs. Smith, in the attendance office or in the guidance office with Mrs. Sotiropoulos. Also, a reminder to complete the Google Form that was emailed to you on Friday to request the number of tickets you need for the graduation ceremony on June 25th.
Also remember to submit your yearbook quotes now! Look around the school for the QR code or outside room 173. Last day for submissions is May 28th.

Therapy Dog Visit
Hi Hawks, just a friendly reminder that Winnie the therapy dog will be here tomorrow in the Library for grades 10 & 12 during 3B. There is a sign up sheet outside of the CYC office (beside main office). If you are interested, please sign up for one of the available time slots as this will be your ticket to visit. Therapy dogs help to promote physical and mental health and make you feel happy. Can’t wait to see you there!
Track & Field
The GHAC Preliminaries ran last Friday in Hamilton. Our top performances included the following:
Senior Girls 100m: Debbie Suleman – 1st place, Alyssa Stephenson – 3rd place, Natalia Murillo – 11th place
Senior Girls 200m: Debbie Suleman – 3rd place, Alyssa Stephenson – 5th place
Novice Boys 100m: David Grant – 4th place
Novice Boys Long Jump: Miguel Da Silva – 5th place
Senior Boys Long Jump: Josh Chakravarty – 8th place
Senior Girls Javelin: Nuju Ubosi – 5th place
These athletes will compete in the GHAC Finals this Thursday and Friday along with our athletes who are scheduled to compete in their events scheduled over the next 2 days in Hamilton. Top 5 results in the GHAC Finals will earn a berth in the South Regionals next week. It’s a tough road to get to OFSAA in Track and Field and we’ll keep you posted every step of the way.
