Pre-International Baccalaureate (IB) Programme

In June 2023, St. Kateri Tekakwitha Catholic Secondary School was approved as a candidate school for the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme!

This means that our school is now pursuing authorization as an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School. IB World Schools share a common philosophy – a commitment to high-quality, challenging, international education – that we believe is important for our students.

Launching the Grade 9 Pre-IB Programme

As our school works toward becoming an IB World School, during the candidacy phase, we will be offering a Grade 9 Pre-IB Programme beginning in September 2024.

The Pre-IB Programme was developed to assist students in their preparation for the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme.

The aim of all IB programmes is to develop internationally minded people who, recognizing their common humanity and shared guardianship of the planet, help to create a better and more peaceful world. Learn more about the IB Learner Profile here.
