Teddy Bear Donation Drive
Student council is hosting a teddy bear donation drive from Monday Nov 14th to Friday Nov. 25th to donate to McMaster Children’s Hospital. Bring in new teddy bears from 8-8:15 in the atrium for a chance to win one of three $20 cafe coupons!
STEAM Society
Attention Grade 9s! Are you interested in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math? Come discover your passion for STEAM through hands on experiments, mentorship, and outreach opportunities at Loyola’s first ever STEAM Society! The first meeting will be tomorrow in room 248 after school. Check the posters around the school for the google classroom code!
Senior Winter Wonderland School Dance
Good morning Hawks! Get excited because school dances have made their comeback! We are thrilled to announce the Senior Winter Wonderland Dance. Join us on Thursday December 1st from 6-9 in the cafeteria.
Loyola University & College Fairs
Our Loyola University Fair, for students only, will be tomorrow during both lunches in the Atrium.
The College Fair will be this Thursday, November 17th and the Skilled Trades Fair this Friday November 18th also during both lunches.
Jr. Boys Basketball
There will be a Jr. Boys Basketball practice today at 2:30.
Sr. Boys Soccer
For all those interested in playing Sr. Boys Soccer this year, there will be a mandatory meeting this Friday at 7:45 in the cafeteria. Please note this meeting will only be for those students in gr. 11 and gr. 12.
Glee Club Rehearsal
There will be a Glee Club Rehearsal today after school at 2:30 pm room 235.
Nordic XC Ski Team
The Loyola Nordic Cross Country Ski Team will be having an introductory meeting today to discuss the upcoming Nordic Ski season. Please note this meeting is for Nordic Cross Country Skiing rather than Alpine Skiing.
Students returning to the team as well as those interested in learning the sport of Nordic ski are welcome to meet with Mr. Sebben today in Room 170 which is the Coop Office in the Tech hallway at 2:30pm.
School Play
The moment is finally here: our very first meeting for this year’s school play is coming up on Wed Nov. 23rd at 2:30 in the drama room – Rm 180. Information will be given and students will sign up to either audition, or be a part o our marketing team, tech team or production team. Opportunities for student leadership will also be discussed.
