“The Audition” School Play Performance

A big heartfelt congratulations to the cast and crew of “The Audition”! Last night was a spectacular show of what can be accomplished when students work together as a coherent team. The show was funny, heartbreaking and memorable – all the things you want in a good show.

If you missed out on your chance to see it-do not fret. Our school play is also being entered into the NTS Dramafest, which takes place at MM Robinson on February 28th. Tickets are $12, and include performances by White Oaks and MM Robinson. If paying on-line, be sure to pick up your tickets here at the school BEFORE the night of the show.

Loyola Nordic Ski (LNXC) Team

The Loyola Nordic Ski Team competed at OFSAA at Lakefield College School in the Kawarthas this week.

After a busy race season travelling throughout the province, our athletes came together with the best racers across Ontario to conquer the hilly terrain at Lakefield College.

The team’s top result was from our grade 9 Junior skier Francelina Dupont (not Frangelica! – a little dig at Chaplain Wayne!)

Despite a mid-race downhill collision with another skier which cost both racers a lot of time, Francelina managed to finish in 58th place in the province and was on-track to finish well within the top 50 prior to the collision.

Congratulations to all the snowseekers who blazed trails all season long and to Francelina for turning Nordic Skiing into a contact sport!
