Go Girl Hackathon
Attention all grade 9 and grade 10 girls! Sign up for our Go Girl Hackathon happening on Wednesday March 6th! Learn how to code like a pro in one day! Create an app to share with your friends! We are looking for girls who have never coded before and want to give it a try. There will be prizes awarded. Look for the green posters around the school and sign up using the QR code or email Mrs. Alfano at alfanoa@hcdsb.org. Don’t miss it!
Mentee Training
Attention grade 9s this is a reminder that nest 17 will meet in the library periods 1 and 2 with Ms. Condello and Ms. Meng and nest 12 will meet during period 3b and 4 with Mrs.Valle for our fun mentor activity.
Graduates – Community Service Hours
Grade 12s hoping to graduate this June – Community Service Hours are due to your Guidance Counsellor by the end of day today! Also, course selection for the 2024-25 school year is due this Sunday March 3rd by midnight!
Announcement Crew Auditions
For anyone interested in auditioning for being part of our video announcements crew, please email Mr. Mikitzel and you will be given a spot either Tuesday or Wednesday after school. We should be all done by 3:15pm.
Dungeons & Dragons
Calling all adventurers! For any students interested in joining the Dungeons & Dragons Club, there will be a meeting on Monday (March 4th) after school in room 139 with Mr. Hassan (hah san). No experience is required, and we welcome players with any/all levels of experience. Spread the word, and please see Mr. Hassan (hah san) if you have any questions or concerns.
Waterloo Math Contest
The last Waterloo Math Contest will be in April. There is a contest for grades 9 to 11, and the Euclid (yu-clid) contest for grade 12. The sign up for this is now on SchoolCashOnline. Sign up closes on March 5th.
Mentor Captains
Attention all grade 11 students who would like to apply to be Mentor Captains during the 2024-2025 school year, please pick up an application from Mrs. Cheal in room 135. Applications are due on Friday March 8th. ALL grade 11 students can apply.
Jr. Boys Hockey

OSSLT After School Literacy Class
The after school literacy class starts on Monday at 2:35 PM in room 195. Any student who is writing the OSSLT in the spring is invited to attend.
