Waterloo Math Contest

The last Waterloo Math Contest will be in April. There is a contest for grades 9 to 11, and the Euclid contest for grade 12. The sign up for this is now on SchoolCashOnline. Sign up closes today at midnight.

Student Services

If you are interested in attending next week’s Black Student Leadership Conference at U of T on Wednesday March 13th, please check our Student Services D2L for more information. Also, just a reminder applications for the Western Indigenous Scholarship are due next Thursday March 14th, and applications for the Horatio Alger Scholarship are due next Friday March 15th!

Paid Non-uniform Day

We will be having a paid non-uniform day this Wednesday March 6th in support of Loyola Cares.

Track & Field

Reminder to all students interested in joining the Track and Field team, there will be an information meeting today after school in Room 219.

Mentor Applications

A reminder to all grade 10 and 11 students, who are interested in becoming a mentor or mentor captain, please see Mrs. Cheal in room 135 for a application. Applications are due by the end of the day Friday March 8 to Mrs. Cheal in room 135. Don’t delay, this is an amazing opportunity. If you have any questions, please see or message Mr. Mojica or Mrs. Cheal.

Important Announcements for Graduates

Attention graduates. Please listen up as there are several points in this announcement. For those of you interested in being a part of the prom committee, there will be a brief meeting at the beginning of lunch on Wednesday in room 211. If you have not yet had your grad photo taken, please go see Mrs. Smith TODAY in room 211. The applications for class Valedictorian are now open and are due March 31st. Graduation awards will be open soon and are due the middle of April. Both can be found on the Student Services D2L, under Content for Grade 12 grad info. And lastly, if you were interested in contributing a design to be considered for the class of 2024 logo, this has been extended until the Monday after March break. Please email finished logos to Mrs. Smith at SmithL4@hcdsb.org.

Ultimate Frisbee Tryouts

A message for anyone interested in trying out for the Ultimate Frisbee Team! Tryouts will start the week after March Break. If interested, please pick up a permission form outside of Room 173. No experience is necessary. If you like to run, jump, and catch – you are invited to try out! Talk to Mr. Chambers, Mr. Zoratti, or Ms. Santarossa if you have any questions.

Jr. Boys

A reminder to all junior boys skating today that we’re on at 3:30 at Glen Abbey. Please bring a dark and a white with your name on the back.
