Jr. Boys Hockey

IN BURLINGTON CUP JUNIOR BOYS’ GOLD-MEDAL ROUND HOCKEY ACTION FRIDAY, YOUR HAWKS CONTINUED THEIR ON-ICE DOMINANCE, DEFEATING NOTRE DAME 2-0 IN THE SEMI-FINAL TO ADVANCE TO THE CHAMPIONSHIP GAME VS GEORGETOWN. LOYOLA BROUGHT THEIR ‘A-GAME’ AND CRUSHED GEORGETOWN 5-2 TO BE CROWNED BURLINGTON CUP GOLD-MEDAL CHAMPIONS!!!!!! HAWK NETMINDER, JASON CRAIG WAS SOLID BETWEEN THE PIPES VS NOTRE DAME, EARNING THE SHUT-OUT WIN WHILE GRADE 9 PHENOM, EVEN VENTRESCA SCORED BOTH GOALS! IN THE CHAMPIONSHIP GAME, VENTRESCA CONTINUED BURYING PUCKS, WITH A BEAUTY GOAL BARELY 40 SECONDS AFTER PUCK DROP TO GIVE LOYOLA AN EARLY LEAD THAT THEY WOULD NEVER LOOK BACK ON. YOUR OTHER HAWK SCORERS WERE DREW MOULTON, ADAM WHITE, AND NICK SKIPPER, BUT THE HIGHLIGHT OF THE GAME AND THE TOURNAMENT WAS THE 2ND GOAL SCORED BY MARCUS MAGRI! IN A MOVE THAT WOULD HAVE MADE ANY TSN HIGHLIGHT OF THE YEAR REEL, HE SWOOPED BEHIND THE GEORGETOWN NET, FLIPPED THE PUCK UP ONTO HIS STICK AND FLAWLESSLY EXECUTED THE INFAMOUS MICHIGAN, THROWING THE PUCK UNDER THE BAR TO THE AWE-STRUCK FANS, PARENTS, PLAYERS, AND COACHES THAT WITNESSED THE MAGIC! MAGRI’S GOAL WILL BE TALKED ABOUT FOR YEARS AND WILL GO DOWN IN LOYOLA HOCKEY HISTORY AS THE SICKEST GOAL EVER SCORED! HE IS OFFICIALLY A LOYOLA HOCKEY LEGEND! CONGRATULATIONS BOYS ON AN AWESOME TOURNAMENT!!!! GO HAWKS!!!!!!
