Relay For Life – Pie A Teacher Showdown
Hey Hawks, Today is the day! Join us at lunch in the cafeteria to watch our teachers get pied in the face at our “Pie a teacher in the Face Showdown” . The stage is set… and your favourite teachers and coaches are ready to step into the whip cream zone.
And it’s not too late for you to participate. Tickets can still be purchased, we will accept cash at the event or you can still buy through cash on line, you don’t want to miss participating in this one! For just $5 a pie — or 5 pies for $20 — you get the chance to take aim and pie one of our teachers, whether it’s your favourite teacher… someone who’s been giving a little too much homework lately or your team coach who has given you just one too many push-ups to do, if you are brave enough now is your chance. This is your moment to show up and maybe make a little school history.
Every pie purchased supports our Relay for Life fundraiser, so while you’re having a blast you are also making a difference and helping us get to our goal of raising $40,000 for Cancer.
Rally your friends, make a plan, and get ready for some unforgettable, whipped-cream-filled chaos! Who’s getting pied the most? Who’s got the best aim? And which Hawk is going to land that perfect shot?
Let’s make this loud, let’s make it fun, and let’s pack that cafeteria! Grab your friends, plan your targets, and get ready to bring your best aim. Here are your pie in the face contestants! Mr. Chambers, Mr. White, Mr. Rivard, Mr. Angaran, Ms. Orlando, Mr. Costa, Mr. Esposito, Mr. O’Neil, Mr. Buzzelli, Mr. DiNardo, Mr. Colalillo, Mr. Chen and of course our one and only Mr. O’Hara!
Teachers, if you have a 3A or 3B class, you are welcome to bring them down to the cafeteria to join in the fun. Your whole class must attend and you will need to stay and supervise your class during the event! Hope to see you there!

Artwork Pick-up
Teachers, please send students in grade 9, 10, 11, and 12 who took an art class in semester 2 of last year, and/or first semester of this school year, down to the library after announcements. They need to come to the library for 5 minutes to grab their artwork and take it home. Any work that is not picked up after announcements today may not be available for you to take home. Even if you do not want to keep it, please come down after announcements to pull your work off the display and inform your art teacher of your intentions. Teachers thank you for allowing them to do this- it does not take long and is a large undertaking if they do not come.

Mental Wellness
As we head into the weekend, we want to remind you that next week is a special one: it’s Mental Health Week across Canada. Our theme for 2026 is ‘Come Together. To help us disconnect from the stress and reconnect with each other, we have some amazing activities happening next week. Stayed tuned for the announcements as we will be having a colouring station in the atrium, welcoming Triple C Farms Mobile Zoo and our “Glow Together” paint activity.
Before we go, take a deep breath. You’ve worked hard this week, and you deserve a chance to recharge. Whether that’s spending time with family, getting outside, or just catching up on sleep, remember that taking care of your mind is the most important thing you can do. Have a good weekend
