The St. Francis Xavier Catholic Secondary School Cheerleading Program is excited to invite all incoming Grade 9 students to attend our 2026-2027 STFX Knights Cheerleading Tryouts!
No previous cheerleading experience is required. We are looking for enthusiastic students who demonstrate school spirit, teamwork, dedication, and a willingness to learn.
Our program has quickly become a source of pride within our school community, promoting leadership, athletic excellence, friendship, and Catholic values both on and off the mat.
Please share the attached poster with your Grade 8 students and families.
TRYOUT INFORMATION
Date: Tuesday September 1st, 2026
Time: 1:30pm-2:30pm
Location: St. Francis Xavier Catholic Secondary School – Gym B
Students will learn:
• A cheer/chant
• Basic jumps
• A short dance routine
No tumbling or stunting experience is required.
What to Bring:
• Athletic clothing
• Running shoes
• Water bottle
• Positive attitude
