Emergency Drill

Wednesday, October 15, 2025

Good afternoon Notre Dame families,

Today at 8:45 AM, Notre Dame Catholic Secondary School conducted a successful Evacuation Drill. We want to reassure you that there was no real emergency. This was a planned practice to ensure that all students and staff are familiar with the procedures required in the event of an actual evacuation.

The drill lasted approximately 15 minutes, during which time all individuals exited the building safely and were accounted for. We are pleased to report that the drill went very smoothly, and we thank everyone for their cooperation and attentiveness.

At Notre Dame, the safety and well-being of our students is our highest priority. These drills are part of our ongoing commitment to emergency preparedness and are conducted in accordance with the Halton Catholic District School Board Protocol, which ensures a rapid, coordinated, and effective response in the event of a real emergency.

As part of our fall safety schedule, we have one remaining emergency drill: a Lockdown Drill, which will be conducted later this season. Students will be reminded that this is a

practice drill and not a real emergency.
