NEW – Courtesy Seat Application – June 2022

Beginning this year, HSTS will be completing the courtesy seat application review  and  approval process for 2022-23 over the summer and allowing approved courtesy seat riders to start using the service on the first day of school. This change will assist parents in preparing in advance for any alternate transportation arrangements needed before the school start-up.

To implement this change, please note the important details regarding the courtesy seat application and approval timeline:

  • HSTS Courtesy Seat Application: Available on haltonbus.ca annually from April 15th – to July 15th. All applicants will be advised of the status of their application by the third week of August.  HSTS staff will notify families of the outcome by emailing the primary contact in  SIS  as provided to the schools by families.

**Important** If your child will not be using the HSTS bus services, please fill out the  HSTS opt-out form .  This will allow HSTS the opportunity to assign as many courtesy seat riders as possible.

HSTS will not consider any new registrants or late applicants.

After the July 15th deadline, HSTS will instruct parents to contact the school regarding  courtesy  transportation.

For more information, please visit the school staff page on haltonbus.ca for answers to frequently asked questions for school staff.
