Dear Parents and Guardians,
Assumption Catholic Secondary School is pleased to host Relay For Life on May 22, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. at our school. This important event is being organized and led by our Grade 12 Sports and Business Leadership classes in support of the Canadian Cancer Society, and we strongly encourage students to take part in this meaningful day.
Relay For Life is a student‑led fundraiser that raises funds for cancer research and support programs while honouring those affected by cancer. Throughout the day, students will participate in relays, activities, and moments of reflection that promote leadership, empathy, and community involvement. It is a powerful opportunity for students to work together for a cause that touches so many families.
Students may register for a $25 fee, which includes participation in the event, lunch, activities, and a Relay For Life T‑shirt. Students are also encouraged to fundraise, with a suggested goal of $100, as our school works toward a collective goal of $75,000. Families play an important role in this process, and we ask for your support in helping students connect with your personal and professional networks (family members, friends, colleagues, and community contacts) to spread awareness and support their fundraising efforts.

We are also seeking support for our Relay For Life Silent Auction. Donations of prizes, items, or services, or connections to local businesses willing to contribute, would be greatly appreciated. If you are able to help in this way, please reach out to one of the Relay For Life teacher advisors.
