Community Service Hours Due by April 1 – 3rd Reminder Feb 6, 2024
As part of the diploma requirements, students must complete a minimum of 40 hours of community involvement activities. We are asking students to satisfy this requirement by April 1, 2024. These hours must be completed so that an Ontario Secondary School Diploma can be conferred upon them at our graduation ceremony on June 27th, 2024. The reason for the April 1, 2024 deadline is so that we have time to register the student hours and that the Ministry of Education recognizes them and sends the school the appropriate number of diplomas for our purposes.

Note: The ministry has developed a list of activities that may not be chosen as community involvement activities. These are referred to as ineligible activities. They are listed on the backside of the form above. If you are unsure of what is and what isn’t acceptable community service activities, please see an administrator or a Student Services staff member for more information.
Note: It is the student’s responsibility to ensure that they have checked with Student Services to confirm that their hours have been recorded correctly.

Application to Graduate – Tuesday, February 6, 2024
Good afternoon Gr. 12’s – ‘Application to Graduate’ is due now. This form was handed out a few months back and we need it to ensure that our Graduation ceremony in June can run smoothly and with few mistakes as possible. Please be sure to fill out one of the yellow forms – if you need one please come by the main office to pick one up.

Graduation Photos – Book Now!
Graduation Photos will start to be taken February 12th, 2024. All appointments are to be booked on the Pegasus website directly – www.pegasus-si.com – book your grad photos now! Payment for the session fee is made at the time of booking. Please read the letter below on how to prepare for your photos and when to expect your proofs.

Important Information, Dates & Events
IF YOU INTEND ON PARTICPATING IN YOUR GRAD DAY/CEREMONY you need to pay your fees through School Cash Online.
1. Graduation Ceremony Fee
- Costs $150.00 *please note: this fee is non-refundable
- This fee covers – Grad Day: hall rental, priest, programs, rehearsal, brunch, caps & gowns, flowers etc.
- This fee DOES NOT cover – the cost of the Dinner Dance ticket
- GRAD FEES must be paid by February 2nd, 2024
- After this date, fees increase to $160.00

2. Dinner Dance – May 31, 2024 6:00pm-11:00pm
- Ticket costs $ 75.00
- DINNER DANCE TICKETS will be available until May 3rd, 2024
- Tickets will be available for pickup in May, a few weeks before the event

3. Graduation Photos
- DATES: February 12th – 23rd, 2024 *location TBA
- You will need to pay a portrait sitting fee at the time of your appointment.
- This is paid directly to Pegasus School Images. Assumption will not accept payment for grad photos.
- This sitting fee covers proofs of your grad photos, a yearbook photo, a folder and composite class photo at the time of graduation.
- Please note: you do not need to purchase a package in order to have your picture in the yearbook.
- If there are any questions regarding photos, you are to direct them to Pegasus @ 1 (800) 461-6575.
- Mrs. Cino and Mrs. Horn are not responsible for anything to do with grad photos.
- It is your responsibility to ensure you are on time for your scheduled appointment.
- If you do not make your scheduled appointment, it is your responsibility to contact Pegasus and reschedule.

5. Graduation Day Details
- Thursday, June 27, 2024 – Burlington Convention Centre, Burloak Drive
- Your day will consist of:
- Morning Mass (time: TBA) attended by staff and graduating students; families are welcome
- Brunch (time: TBA) attended by staff, graduating students and special guests
- Mandatory Rehearsal (time: TBA)
- Ceremony (time: 7pm)
6. Class Valedictorian
- applications will be available from Mrs.Cino or Mrs. Horn in late March
- submissions due in early April
- presentations & voting take place at the April Grad Meeting
7. Other Notes
- YOU are responsible to stay informed, especially those leaving after Semester 1.

- If you have questions regarding graduation you can direct them to Mrs. Cino or Mrs. Horn in Workroom 210A.
