Important Information, Dates & Events for Graduates

Graduation Ceremony – Wednesday, June 24th, 2026

  • Fee: $185.00   *please note: this fee is non-refundable 
  • Location: Burlington Convention Centre, Burloak Drive
  • This fee covers:  Grad Day hall rental, programs, rehearsal, brunch, caps & gowns, flowers etc. 
  • This fee DOES NOT cover the cost of the Dinner Dance ticket 

**GRADUATION DAY FEES will be on School Cash Online until May 24, 2024**

  • Your day will consist of: 
    • Arrival at Burlington Convention Centre 9:00am
    • Morning Mass at 9:30am: attended by staff and graduating students; families ARE welcome
    • Brunch and Awards Ceremony (follows mass): attended by staff, graduating students and special guests 
    • Mandatory Rehearsal: Immediately following brunch, staff & students only
    • Ceremony – 7:00pm

Please Note: Attendance @ Rehearsal is MANDATORY – this is where you will be receiving your tickets for your family to attend the ceremony

Graduation Ceremony Details

Time: Arrive no later than 5:30pm
Place: Burlington Convention Centre

**UPDATE – Extra Graduation Ceremony Tickets: 

May 28th – If you requested extra tickets to the Graduation Ceremony – Families/Students18+ should have received an email with the quantity of extra tickets you are receiving. Contact the main office if you have not received an email.

Please note: Each graduate is given 2 tickets automatically (no need to request)

There are a limited number of extra tickets. If you need more than 2 tickets you must fill out the Microsoft Form in the following link: https://forms.cloud.microsoft/r/W2wfLGg3JL  These requests go to the Administrative team. Deadline to request extra tickets : May 8th. No exceptions. LINK IS NOW CLOSED – ALL TICKETS HAVE BEEN DISTRIBUTED – NO OTHER REQUESTS ARE BEING TAKEN

Graduation Ushers: 

If you have a sibling at Assumption who would like to volunteer as an usher at the ceremony, please see    Mrs. Crowell to sign them up after today’s meeting.  They will be given volunteer hours.  We need a maximum of 20 students.   Ushers will be selected on a first come, first serve basis.

Other Notes:

  • Dress Code: PLEASE be appropriately dressed for this very important evening.
  • NO gum, NO sunglasses, NO hats, and NO electronic devices *
  • Caps and Gowns: will be distributed at the school prior to Graduation Day. Date : TBA
  • Arrival: please arrive dressed in your gown, with your cap and tassel and go to the designated room at the Burlington Convention Centre to check in and pick up your flowers.
  • Pictures: once you have picked up your flowers, you may go outside to get pre-ceremony pictures taken with your family and friends.
  • Processional: return to the main foyer by 6:30pm sharp to line up for the procession

Grad Dinner Dance – Friday, May 29, 2026 (6-11pm) 

  • Tickets are $100.00
  • Location – LIUNA Station, Hamilton 
  • Tickets will be available for pickup in May, a few weeks before the event 

Dinner Dance tickets are available on School Cash Online for $100.00 until Friday, May 15th

All tickets can be picked up May 26-28h . You must pick up your own ticket/s prior to the event.

Please check D2L for pick up times and location (TBD)

Reminder: Volunteer hours must be submitted before tickets can be picked up!

Other Notes:

  • Names and ticket numbers MUST correspond with our list
  • tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable
  • If you wish to purchase a ticket for a guest, you must have the Guest Information Form filled out and approved by the principal or a VP. Forms will be available after the meeting.  Extras will be available in the Guidance Office.  May 8th, 2026.
  • Seating Plan: forms must be submitted by ONE individual at the table.  Please ensure you know what seating plan you are a part of to avoid complications. Complete and submit your requests by May 8th, 2026. Forms will be available after the meeting.  Extras will be available in the Guidance Office. 
  • If you have any special dietary requirements, please fill out the form also provided after the meeting.  This form must be submitted to Mrs. Crowell or Mme. Cabrera Yero no later than May 1st, 2026. Extra forms will be available in the Guidance Office. 

Graduation Photos

  • Graduation photos at Assumption are now done (February 9th-20th, 2026).
  • To book an appointment contact Pegasus directly at 1-800-461-6575.

Yearbook Quotes – Due May 8, 2026

  • The deadline to submit personalized grad quotes:  Friday, May 8, 2026
  • Please see Mr. Chomyshyn for questions or concerns. 
  • Submit by filling out the link below on the Student Services D2L: Yearbook Quote
  • Students must go onto the Student Services D2L to access this form the the link. In order to fill out the Google form, you must sign in with your @gobluego.ca email account.            

Class Valedictorian

  • Applications are now available on Student Services D2L or in the Student Services office.
  • Submissions due May 1, 2026.
  • Valedictorian will be chosen at May 19 grad meeting.

Grade 12 Exit Survey

Grade 12 Exit Survey must be completed on MyBlueprint.
