Grade 8 Information & Registration

Welcome to Holy Trinity!

We are excited to welcome all incoming Grade 9 students to Holy Trinity Catholic Secondary School. Please follow the process that fits your situation below:

Family of Schools Students

Students currently enrolled in our Family of Schools: Holy Family, Our Lady of Peace, St. Andrew, St. Cecilia St. Marguerite, St. Michael

A. Course Selection – Required

• Students will complete Grade 9 course selections through their myBlueprint account with support from their Grade 8 teacher.
• Holy Trinity Guidance Counsellors will visit Grade 8 classes in November to review pathways, courses, electives, and how to complete selections.

B. Applying to the AP Program (Optional)

If your child wishes to apply to AP:

1. On myBlueprint, select the regular de-streamed Grade 9 courses.
2. Complete Holy Trinity’s online Advanced Placement Application
3. If accepted, Holy Trinity will manually add approved AP courses to the student’s timetable.
4. There is a one-time AP Program registration fee of $150, payable upon acceptance of the program in January 2026

C. Student Activity Fee

• Pay the $65 Student Activity Fee via School Cash Online.

Other HCDSB Students

Students enrolled at another HCDSB school who live in the HT boundary AND/OR are applying to AP

A. Course Selection – Required

Students must complete both of the following:

1. myBlueprint course selection at their current HCDSB elementary school.
2. The Holy Trinity Grade 9 Course Selection Google Form (official course selection submission to HT).

B. Applying to the AP Program

Students applying to AP must complete:

1. myBlueprint course selection (regular de-streamed courses).
2. Holy Trinity’s online Advanced Placement Application
3. If accepted, Holy Trinity will manually add approved AP courses to the student’s timetable.
4. There is a one-time AP Program registration fee of $150, payable upon acceptance of the program in January 2026

C. Student Activity Fee

• Pay the $65 Student Activity Fee via School Cash Online.

Families Outside of HCDSB:

Public, private, international, or out-of-board students

A. Online Registration – Required

1. Families must complete the Holy Trinity Online Registration
   (All accompanying documents must be submitted in full before registration can be processed).

B. Documentation Required

The completed online registration must include:

• Birth Certificate or Passport of child – Original only
• Proof of Legal Status in Canada (if applicable) – Original only
• Proof of Residency (gas bill, tax bill, lease, etc.) – Original only
• Custody/Guardianship Documents (if applicable)
• Most Recent Report Card
• IEP Information (if applicable)
• Completed Grade 9 Course Selection Form
• Pay the $65 Student Activity Fee via School Cash Online

C. Applying to the AP Program (Optional)

If your child is applying to AP:

1. Complete Holy Trinity’s online Advanced Placement Application
2. If accepted, Holy Trinity will manually add approved AP courses to the student’s timetable.
3. There is a one-time AP Program registration fee of $150, payable upon acceptance of the program in January 2026

• Once your registration is reviewed, you will receive an email with next steps.
