To all students wishing to play Notre Dame Football,
Notre Dame Catholic Secondary School has a rich football tradition. Notre Dame has seen its football
teams play in six Ontario Championships, and numerous Halton Championships. Notre Dame prides
itself in producing fun and competitive football teams that promote sportsmanship and teamwork.
Since the football season starts very early in the school year, the team regularly starts practices, tryouts, and equipment distribution the week before the first day of regular school classes. As such we are
distributing this letter containing all the necessary information about practices, fees, equipment, etc …
along with the necessary parental and medical permission forms needed prior to stepping on the field so
that those wishing to play Notre Dame Football will be ready to get their equipment and try-out the first
day practices begin.
Important Dates and times:
• SENIOR:
o Equipment pickup will take place Thursday, August 25, 10:00am – 12:00am
o Pre-season camp will be August 29th – September 1st), 10:00am – 12:30pm
• JUNIOR
o Equipment pickup and practices will start the first day of school
Important Information:
• To receive equipment you must provide a deposit in the form of a $300.00 cheque made out
to Notre Dame Catholic Secondary School. Your cheque will not be cashed and will be
returned once all equipment has been returned.
• There is a fee of $295.00 to play which covers: Nike uniform, Nike t-shirt, game socks, busing,
and the Notre Dame Athletic fee. Players are also required to buy a padded girdle at a cost of
$45, which is theirs to keep. Players may also provide their own padded girdle so long as it
meets proper safety specifications.
• The attached forms must be filled out completely before a student can participate in practice.
