2023 ND Angel Campaign

Dear Notre Dame Families,

We are truly grateful for the generosity of our school community in supporting Notre Dame families in need. Our Irish Cares social justice team ran a hugely successful Halloween 4 Hunger campaign in support of the Burlington Food Bank. The goal was to raise 600 pounds of food. Thanks to our school community, we raised more than four times our original goal, and collected 2600 pounds of food!

As we prepare our hearts, homes, and school community for the Advent Season, we again reflect upon the needs of our community and our commitment to service and social justice. We are excited to start fundraising for the annual Notre Dame Angel Campaign and Coats for Kids winter clothing drive.

We are planning on helping approximately thirty of our very own Notre Dame families in addition to a few families from St. Gabriel’s St. Vincent de Paul Society. Each family will receive gift cards to purchase necessities like food, cleaning supplies and daily living supplies. Additionally, we will include gift cards to put towards the purchase of gifts for every member of the family.

If you are in a position to support the campaign, please use the link below to donate. Donations above $25 will receive a tax receipt.

Donations will be accepted up until Friday December 15, 2023 at 2:30 PM. Every donation counts and will support families in our local community.

We know it is a hard time for many families, and we are grateful for all contributions, big or small! We understand if your family is not able to make a financial contribution at this time. Please know that your prayers and good wishes are very valuable, and we ask that everyone in the community keep the success of the Angel Campaign in their prayers.

Once again this year Notre Dame will be partnering with Donnell Insurance in the “Coats for Kids” winter clothing drive. At this time we are collecting donations of clean gently worn and new coats, hats, mitts and scarves in any size (adult or child). These items will be donated to the Compassion Society and the Salvation Army. Items will be collected until December 18, 2023.

If your family is in need of support this Christmas season, please reach out to your child’s Vice Principal by Friday December 1, 2023 at 2:30 PM. The conversation and information provided will be held in strict confidence.

We are deeply grateful to everyone in the community that can help us help those families at Notre Dame that need some Christmas support. May God be with all of you during this blessed Advent Season.

Sincere thanks,

The Notre Dame Admin Team
