Parent/Teacher Night – Thursday, March 21, 2024
Mark Your Calendars! Assumption will be hosting the second semester Parent/Teacher Interview Night on Thursday, March 21st from 6:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. More information and the ability to sign-up will come on Monday, March 18th, 2024.
CPIC Volunteer of the Year Award!
Volunteers play a very important role in our schools, helping to build vibrant, caring, inclusive, faith-based school communities. The CPIC Volunteer of the Year Award has been developed to acknowledge the dedicated individuals who make a significant contribution within the schools of the HCDSB. This award provides an opportunity for the HCDSB to formally acknowledge and celebrate volunteers who exemplify volunteer involvement within our schools. There will be one winner selected per family of schools (total of 10). Nominations for the CPIC Parent/Guardian Volunteer of the Year Award can be made by any parent/guardian or staff member of the HCDSB. Self-nominations are also welcomed. Eligibility:
In order to be considered for the CPIC Parent/Guardian Volunteer of the Year Award, the nominee must:
- Be a parent/guardian of a student in the HCDSB.
- Consistently support the volunteer needs of the school through their own involvement or by recruiting or organizing volunteers for school activities
- Demonstrates strong Catholic values and gives witness to their faith through some involvement in the school or parish.
- Any person who is paid by a school or by the school system is not eligible to be nominated.
- CPIC members are not eligible to be nominated.
Timeline:
- Nominations open March 5, 2024
- Nominations close April 5, 2024 at midnight
- Principals will review/validate the nominations put forward for their school community
- Winners will be selected by CPIC by May 6, 2024
- Winners will be contacted by May 17, 2024
- Awards presentation at Council of Chairs meeting on May 22, 2024 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Secondary School, Milton
