Ocean Lee, a Grade 10 Holy Trinity student, is hitting all the right notes after an impressive achievement on the international stage. Ocean recently entered the America Protégé Music Competition, performing a five-minute rendition of Mozart’s Sonata in C Major. Competing against talented young musicians from around the world, he earned an outstanding second-place finish—an accomplishment that secured him an invitation to perform at the prestigious Winners Recital at Carnegie Hall in New York City on Friday, April 3.
The recital featured a small group of performers recognized for excellence across a range of musical disciplines, making the experience for Ocean and his family both inspiring and unforgettable. Taking the stage at one of the world’s most iconic concert venues marked a significant milestone in Ocean’s musical journey and highlighted his dedication to his craft.
Having played piano since the age of seven, Ocean trains daily and continues to refine his skills at an advanced level. He is currently working toward Level 10 with the Royal Conservatory of Music and previously represented his talents at the Ontario Provincial Competition last year. His commitment and passion for music serve as an inspiration to his peers, and we look forward to seeing what he accomplishes next.
Congratulations, Ocean!
