Every Child Matters! Orange Shirt Day – Sept 29 & 30

Every Child Matters! Orange Shirt Day shines a light on the experiences of First Nations, Inuit and Metis as children in Residential Schools. For too long, their stories were unspoken and their pain was not noticed. Orange Shirt Day is a time to hear and honour those stories and affirm that their feelings and needs do matter. As a sign of our support for Indigenous Canadians, students are invited to wear an orange shirt or orange accessory with their regular uniform. Student Council will be sharing materials to deepen our awareness and encourage us on the path of truth and reconciliation with our First Peoples.

Cohort A will participate on September 29.

Cohort B will participate on September 30.
