Student Wellness

Highschool can be a very stressful time for any adolescent. It is at the peak of their developmental journey to becoming independent, and can be very hard for families to cope with all of the various changes. Every student, will experience ups and down in mood related to social pressures, academic stress, family concerns etc. We ALL have Mental Health. But, 1 in 5 adolescents will experience a mental health crisis sometime during their high school career. Early intervention, early support and being open about any mental health difficulties is essential to supporting our children through this tumultuous time.

Here at Christ the King, we support the whole child. Jesus did not only look at someone’s accomplishments, but He loved them and supported them no matter who they were or what they’d done. Although our main purpose in education is to support a student’s academics, we are also available to provide guidance and help for those who are struggling emotionally, socially and mentally.
