Lord, when we are weary and worn and have no strength of our own,
may we discover that it has been you who have carried us all along.
When we see our striving come to nothing,
help us understand what it means to serve you, not self.
When fear and doubt unsettle us,
may we remember that we are enough for you, who loves all you have created.
When we feel we have no more to give, may we stop and receive from you.
When we are frustrated with limitations, help us pause to consider the infinite.
When our hearts cry out because of the suffering of people beyond our reach,
may we surrender them to your care.
Lord, sustain us through trials and bring us safely through.
