Introduction: Overview of Year 2 of the HCDSB Theological Theme: A new heart I will give you, and a new spirit I will put within you (Ezekiel 36:26).
Topic 1: AM – Student Well-Being, School Safety and Violence Prevention
Description: School teams will focus on student mental health and well-being by reviewing data from the School Climate Survey (April 2023). The session will also explore student safety and violent incident prevention. Each school team will plan, act, assess, observe, and reflect on measurable goals to support mental health and well-being aligned with the school mental health strategy.
Topic 2: PM – Student Achievement Plan and Data Analysis (Secondary)
Description: School teams will focus on their school’s Student Achievement Plan. School administrators will work with school-based staff to develop achievable goals that will increase student success in areas of math, literacy, engagement, well-being and belonging. School staff will meet to conduct data analysis of each school’s student achievement data (e.g., EQAO, report card, subject grade, student attendance etc.) to set goals for their Student Achievement Plan and will plan, act, assess, observe, and reflect planning and monitoring for high impact practice.
School teams will review the new de-streamed English, Grade 9 and Francais, 9e année courses.
