L2L Peer Tutoring Program


Licensed to Learn (L2L) is an Ontario-Based charitable organization dedicated to boosting student success through personalized peer tutoring.  Programming is provided at no cost to families, and is proven to benefit youth by improving academic success among those being tutored.  L2L fosters the development of leadership skills among Tutors, and by nurtures positive relationships that make up a vibrant and inclusive school community.

How the Program will Run at BR

The L2L program will once again be running at Bishop Reding this semester.  The program allows students the opportunity to be trained in the art of tutoring before taking those skills forward.  If you would like to be part of the program as a tutor … or would like to have your son/daughter be part of the program (to be tutored), please click on the appropriate link below to register for the program ONLINE.

Steps to becoming a L2L Tutor

Step # 2 – Print off the Following permission form and sign where needed

Peer Parental Consent Form (CONSENT)

Step # 3 – Hand in signed Permission form to Student Services.

***Note: Until the Permission form is handed into Student Services (along with completing the survey), no student will be allocated a L2L tutor … Priority will be given to students who have completed all 3 steps *** 

The tutoring sessions will run every Tuesday or Wednesday after school from 3:00pm – 4:00pm in room 101/102/105.  The L2L program mandates that 12 sessions must be completed so that our tutors fulfill the programs requirements, so ATTENDANCE is Mandatory.  If you have any questions about the program feel free to contact Mr. Seixeiro at SeixeiroD@hcdsb.org or at 905-875-0124 x 1160.
